Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) has made up two partners to the firm's equity in its annual partner promotions round.

The promotions see Richard Burger and Alison Clarke made up to the all-equity firm's partnership, bringing the total number of partners to 65.

Burger, a former senior enforcement lawyer at the Financial Services Authority, specialises in regulatory advice and joined RPC in 2008 from Mills & Reeve, while Clarke, who joined the firm in 2001, is an insurance lawyer.

The promotions mark a slight decline from last year, when the firm made up three new partners, matching the same number of promotions in 2009.

RPC managing partner Jonathan Watmough commented: "Ours is a genuine full equity partnership so the bar is obviously that much higher. Richard and Alison are both exceptionally talented lawyers who will make a strong contribution to the firm."

The news follows the hire of former CMS Cameron McKenna partner Peter Hill last month (31 May), who left CMS in April to join RPC as a consultant in its corporate insurance offering.

May also saw RPC recruited former Barlow Lyde & Gilbert chief executive Clint Evans, who has taken the title of director of brand and talent within the firm's business development department.
