In this video, Jenny Screech, legal professions manager at Zurich Insurance plc, discusses getting the best PI cover for smaller firms with Legal Week editor-in-chief John Malpas.
Commentators are predicting that the 2011 solicitors' PI renewal season will be a tough one for law firms, especially smaller practices. In this, the second in a series of three videos, Zurich's Jenny Screech gives her take on how she sees the solicitors' PI market panning out in 2011 for smaller firms.
In a frank assessment of the situation facing most firms of 10 partners or less, she warns that insurers will limit their exposure to this class of firm because of their risk profile. But she goes on to provide practical tips on how smaller firms can keep the anticipated premium rises to a minimum without compromising on the service they get from their insurers.
