Nabarro has appointed corporate partner Andrew Inkester as the firm's new managing partner, after current incumbent Nicole Paradise stepped down following 12 years in the role.

Inkester, who joined the firm when legacy practice Turner Kenneth Brown merged with Nabarro Nathanson in 1995, was initially put forward for the role by senior partner and fellow corporate lawyer Simon Johnston.

Inkester's candidacy was subsequently taken to the board, with the three-year appointment confirmed earlier today (29 July). He will succeed Paradise as of next week (1 August).

Commenting on his new role, Inkester (pictured) said: "Nicky will be a tough act to follow but I am looking forward to the challenge, especially as my colleagues are being so supportive. I am also looking forward to working with them to further develop our brand and reputation both in the UK and internationally."

Johnston added: "Andrew's management experience within the firm and his broad corporate legal experience will be invaluable as Nabarro plans for the future. I look forward to working with him as we continue to develop our business and evolve our strategy for the ongoing success of Nabarro."

The appointment marks the end of an era for the firm, which spent just under 12 years under Paradise's leadership.

Nabarro recently posted relatively static financials for the 2010-11 financial year, with turnover down by around 1% from £113.8m to to £112.6m and profits per equity partner dropping marginally from £320,000 to £318,000.
