Thomas Eggar has joined a growing list of firms to have signed up to outsource back office functions to Integreon.

The southeast firm has signed a deal for Integreon to run its library and information service, joining the outsourcing company's existing clients – which include CMS Cameron McKenna, Osborne Clarke, Beachcroft, TLT Solicitors and Morgan Cole – in the use of its Bristol service centre.

Integreon will provide the firm with a central enquiry desk, legal and business research services and hardcopy library management services.

Thomas Eggar operations director Sarah Bill commented: "We now have a more scalable library service which can support our commitment to service excellence. By partnering with Integreon, we are empowering our lawyers with the high-quality support services they need to enable them to deliver the best possible legal services to our clients."

The Thomas Eggar deal comes after Osborne Clarke (OC) teamed up with Integreon in February 2009 to create the UK's first onshore shared services centre, signing a seven-year deal with the outsourcing company. Seventy-five OC business services staff joined the Intergreon base in Bristol in March that year.

The firm was joined in the use of the base by Beachcroft and TLT in early January 2010, with Morgan Cole signing up in February this year.

Meanwhile, CMS Cameron McKenna outsourced its entire 20-strong human resources (HR) team to Integreon earlier this year, with around 76 back office staff given the option to relocate to Bristol or India.

Integreon knowledge and research vice president Kate Stanfield said: "The legal industry is changing and the law library is evolving to address firms' changing needs. Thomas Eggar is at the cutting edge of a wave of large, innovative law firms turning to external library services as a way to provide legal professionals with better service and support without increasing costs."
