Ince & Co has launched a new base in Monaco, marking the firm's tenth office worldwide.

The base opened on 1 August this year and is headed by shipping, international trade and energy partner Ian Cranston, who has relocated from London alongside associate Ruth Monahan.

Ince has been granted a licence specifically to practise English law in shipping and energy in the region, with a view to being able to service the firm's key shipping, international trade, offshore energy and yachting clients on the ground.

Ince has two further offices in the neighbouring French region in Le Havre and Paris.

Ince senior partner James Wilson said: "Our new Monaco office underlines our commitment to clients in the Principality. For many years we have advised them from our other offices in Europe and we are now responding to demands for a more immediate service."

The news follows Ince's launch of a local law practice in Singapore in April this year via the Ince Law Alliance, which saw the firm enter into a relationship with local outfit Incisive Law.

The firm now has offices in Dubai, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Le Havre, London, Monaco, Paris, Piraeus, Shanghai and Singapore.

In May this year Ince became one of the last firms in the UK top 50 to convert to a limited liability partnership, in a bid to ensure greater cohesion between its partners across its offices around the world.
