Taylor Wessing has added a partner to its City trademarks, copyright and media team with the hire of Field Fisher Waterhouse's France Delord.

Delord, who has been a partner in Field Fisher's trademark and brand protection group since 2008, joined the firm's London office in 2003 from Norton Rose.

She is a dual-qualified French avocat and English solicitor and is also qualified as a European trademark attorney. She has worked in both London and Paris, including as head of Norton Rose's Paris intellectual property (IP) team.

Her practice focuses on contentious and non-contentious IP, and she advises international companies on protection and exploitation of their IP rights, with a particular emphasis on trademarks and designs.

At Taylor Wessing, she will become the sixth partner in the trademarks, copyright and media team, which is headed by City partner Niri Shan. The group has 18 fee earners in total.

Shan commented: "We see international brand management for major brand owners as a key part of our IP service. France's contentious and non-contentious IP expertise and international outlook adds even further depth to our London team."

Taylor Wessing most recently added to its trademarks practice with the hire of Dominique Mallo in its Paris office from French IP boutique Cabinet Hirsch earlier this year.
