Leading Chinese firm Jun He Law Offices has bolstered its Beijing corporate practice with a hire from Weil Gotshal & Manges, marking the firm's fourth new partner addition since August.

Jasson Han is set to rejoin Jun He as a partner, after leaving in 1993 to pursue a degree in commercial law. Since then, he has worked at Simmons & Simmons in London and Hong Kong, and then in Weil Gotshal's Beijing and Hong Kong offices as a partner-level senior consultant.

Han represents multinationals, Chinese state-owned enterprises and Chinese private companies on a variety of M&A transactions.

Han's move is the latest in a spree of hires for the Beijing-based firm, which since August has boosted its Shanghai, Hong Kong and New York offices with hires from Jones Day, Bird & Bird and Vinson & Elkins.

In August Alex Yong Hao joined the firm's New York office as a partner from Vinson, where he was a senior associate. He specialises in M&A, finance, private equity and capital markets.

Meanwhile, Bird & Bird corporate associate Daniel Wan joined the Hong Kong office as a partner the same month, alongside Jones Day international arbitration partner Luming Chen.

Jun He is among Slaughter and May's Asia referral firms, and the magic circle recently announced that it is planning to increase secondments to the region, in particular Japan and South Korea.
