The firm is also investing in new technology and is in the process of installing a client relationship management system.
Deals that exemplify its ambitions to be at the cutting edge of law in the region include the establishment of the first real estate investment trust in the Dubai International Finance Centre, the construction of the groundbreaking Shams solar power plant in Abu Dhabi and the merger of the Dubai Financial Market and NASDAQ Dubai to create a common trading platform for the Middle East.
The firm's commitment to training is underlined by its launch of its own training academy, known as the Centre for Development. The centre has now been up and running for two years and all lawyers at the firm are expected to achieve a certain number of continuous professional development points, gained from attending seminars and training courses run by the centre.
In the first six months of 2011, turnover at the firm increased by 4%.
