NCTM has announced its annual equity partner promotions with seven of the Italian firm's salary partners set to join the top rank in the New Year.

Piero Corigliano, Carlo Grignani, Lorena Possagno, Matteo Trapani and Pietro Zanoni will all join the firm's equity rank in the corporate practice.

Meanwhile, Guido Foglia and Paolo Rampulla have been promoted in the dispute resolution and tax practices respectively.

The promotions will come into effect from 1 January 2012 and take the total number of equity partners at NCTM to 49.

NCTM senior partner Paolo Montironi said: "This current round of promotions will give the firm a boost in 2012 and will enable us to continue to grow in the sustainable way we have done since we started in 2000.

"Most of these excellent young professionals have been with us since the start and their promotion shows the real career opportunities our firm gives to all its professionals. Our investment in people and in mapping out their career paths has always distinguished NCTM from its peers."

The new equity partners are based in the firm's Rome and Milan offices. NCTM has around 250 fee earners across six offices in Milan, Rome, Verona, London, Brussels and Shanghai.

The news follows Bonelli Erede Pappalardo's annual partner promotions also announced this week with Paolo Di Giovanni added to the partnership in litigation and Tommaso Faelli in intellectual property.
