Vinson & Elkins has made up two London lawyers to its partnership in a global promotions round of 14.

Dispute resolution lawyer Mark Beeley and private equity and M&A specialist Robert Dixon have been promoted to the partnership in the energy-focused firm's City base.

Outside of Vinson's domestic US offices, the firm has also made up one corporate lawyer apiece in Beijing and Shanghai with a further promotion in the Hong Kong energy practice.

The remaining promotions are spread across the firm's US energy, corporate, finance, intellectual property and litigation practices in Houston, Dallas, Austin and New York.

All partner promotions took effect earlier this month (1 January).

Meanwhile, Gide Loyrette Nouel has made up one City lawyer to its partnership, with structured finance specialist Dimitrios Logizidis promoted in the French firm's London base.

Logizidis joins dispute resolution partner Adam Rooney and tax partner David Klass, who were both made up during the firm's last promotion round.

Elsewhere, US firm O'Melveny & Myers has overlooked its London office in its latest partner promotions round, which saw 15 made up around the world.

The promotions, which take effect next month (1 February), comprise 12 new partners in the firm's domestic US offices and three across Beijing, Singapore and Tokyo.
