Ince & Co has announced its 2012 partner promotions, with the shipping specialist adding five lawyers to its partnership.
The round sees the firm focusing on its international network, with no promotions in London, two in Hamburg and one apiece in Paris, Shanghai and Singapore.
Four of the promotions, which take effect from 1 May, are in the firm's shipping litigation team, with Volker Luecke and Eckehard Volz being promoted in Germany, Vy-Loan Huynh-Olivieri (pictured) in Paris and Gerald Yee in Shanghai.
Meanwhile, Martin Brown has been promoted in Ince's business and finance practice, which he currently heads in Singapore.
The promotion round is significantly down on last year, when Ince made up nine new partners globally, including four in the City. The firm made up six new partners in 2010, across two separate rounds.
Ince senior partner James Wilson said: "These promotions demonstrate the continuing growth of our global network and the increasing capabilities in our core industry sectors.
"Our new partners each enjoy strong client relationships and have a deep understanding of their local markets, which is so important to our global clients. The promotions reflect client demand for top quality advisers and our investment in the future of the business."
The promotions take the total number of partners at Ince to over 100 firmwide.
They follow a number a number partner hires in recent months, including a double partner hire from legacy Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, with commercial risk and reinsurance partners Kiran Soar and Simon Cooper hired in October last year.
