Wragge & Co has restarted its annual partner promotions round, with three lawyers made up to the senior rank this year.

The latest promotions come after the national firm made up no new partners last year, instead choosing to focus on lateral hiring and developing its international offices.

The trio, who are all currently directors, will join the all-equity partnership as of 1 May. They are: Richard Goold, a Birmingham-based corporate lawyer in the firm's tech sector focus group; Birmingham dispute resolution lawyer Patrick Arben; and London-based lawyer Jane Kola, who will become the eighth partner in Wragges' pensions team.

In previous years, Wragges made up three new partners in 2010, one in 2009 and nine in 2008.

Commenting on the promotions, senior partner Quentin Poole (pictured) said: "Richard, Patrick and Jane are are role models within their teams, demonstrating the mix of client service, technical excellence, business development and leadership that marks them out as successful partner candidates."

The news comes after Ince & Co announced its 2012 partner promotions last week (1 March), with the shipping specialist adding five lawyers to its partnership.

The promotions round saw the firm focusing on its international network, with no promotions in London, two in Hamburg and one apiece in Paris, Shanghai and Singapore.
