BPP has recruited a new deputy chief executive and associate dean, with the law school hiring Andrew Chadwick, a senior director at rival the College of Law, to take up both roles.

Chadwick was director of the College's Moorgate campus in London until he handed in his notice yesterday (5 March).

He spent 19 years with the College and will join BPP once he has served out his gardening leave.

At BPP Chadwick will report into chief executive Peter Crisp in the newly-created role as his deputy, while also replacing Sarah Macdonald as associate dean. Macdonald left the company earlier this year.

The College plans to recruit a replacement for Chadwick, with the existing management team, including the director of operations, taking responsibility for the Moorgate base in the interim.

College of Law chief executive Nigel Savage commented: "We are sad to see him go and I want to thank him for his support and his contribution to the College over the 19 years he has been with us. Given that Andrew will be moving to a competitor he will be giving up his post as Centre Director Moorgate with immediate effect."

The move comes after the College of Law confirmed its intention to launch its first-ever overseas campus in Singapore. The institution is currently gearing up for a sale to British buyout house Montagu Private Equity, expected to value the UK's biggest law school at around £200m.
