Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) is to make up 11 new partners, with the firm's City arm gaining nine new partners and Singapore and Abu Dhabi adding one new partner apiece.
The London haul includes one non fee-earner, the firm's head of risk Nicole Bigby, who is a qualified lawyer.
The remaining City promotions comprise Michael Weir in corporate, Daisy Reeves in finance, Catherine Gelder, Amir Ghaffari and Neil Owen in dispute resolution and Celia Berg, Deepa Deb and Nick Skea-Strachan in real estate.
Elsewhere, Marius Toime has been added to the partnership in the firm's finance practice in Singapore and Charles Lilley has been made up in the litigation group in Abu Dhabi.
The promotions round, which takes effect from 1 May, marks a slight decline on last year when the firm made up 13 new partners, also with nine in the City. In addition to the partner promotions the City firm has also promoted four senior associates and one risk compliance lawyer to associate director.
News of the promotions comes as Mishcon de Reya also announced its partner promotions today (18 April), with the firm making up four lawyers in London.
Two of the promotions are in the real estate practice, with employment and litigation gaining one apiece. The round marks an increase on 2010-11 when two lawyers were made up to the partnership in London and New York.
