Legal Week is to launch a series of client-focused events in some of the world's key legal hubs as the award-winning title moves to expand its international reach.

The Corporate Counsel Forum Hong Kong will be held on 18 September, marking Legal Week's first Asian event dedicated to in-house counsel.

The event has attracted senior Asian in-house lawyers from Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Eli Lilly, CB Richard Ellis and Barings Private Equity as speakers and is being supported by the Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association, the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.

The launch comes as Legal Week has recruited a new Asia editor to be based full-time in Hong Kong to expand the brand in the region and support a series of planned launches.

Legal Week will also follow the Asia event with the launch of the Corporate Counsel Forum Africa. The one-day event for senior in-house lawyers operating across the continent will be held on 8 November in Johannesburg. Legal Week's expanding portfolio of client events already includes its flagship annual retreat in September as well as a forum dedicated to general counsel in the Middle East.

January 2013 will also see Legal Week launch its first retreat in the US with the expansion of its market-leading portfolio of private client events.

Legal Week publisher John Malpas said: "We see extending our international reach to reflect the changing outlook of our readers and providing more high-quality events as core aims of our strategy. These developments will take Legal Week's brand into new territories and build on our already substantial international audience."

If you are a GC, a senior in-house lawyer or a company secretary, you can register to attend the Asia event as a guest through our online registration form.
