Morrison & Foerster has elected San Francisco litigation partners Craig Martin and Anna White and real estate partner Eric Piesner as its new firmwide managing partners.

The trio, who will report to newly elected chair and chief executive partner Larren Nashelsky, are replacing Pamela Reed, whose 13 years as firmwide managing partner ends in October.

Martin and White will oversee the firm's nine US and two European offices, while Piesner is responsible for overseeing the firm's four Asian offices.
MoFo also has managing partners at each of its offices, with the London arm headed up by corporate partner Trevor James.

Martin, who sits in the firm's securities, litigation, enforcement, and white collar defence practice with White, represents clients in US Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement and Department of Justice matters, corporate investigations, and private securities litigation.

White (pictured) served as a firmwide managing partner between 2006 and 2009, and chairs MoFo's business review committee, which oversees conflicts and strategy issues.

Meanwhile, Piesner is head of MoFo's Asia real estate practice and co-chairs the firm's business departments.

"I am confident they will be a formidable team, with a very broad and real understanding of the firm's practices, clients, culture, and economics, aptly poised to face the competitive challenges of today's legal market," said Nashelsky.

Reed, who has spearheaded MoFo's expansion, particularly in Asia, will assist the trio in their transition to leadership over the next year.

"MoFo owes Pam a tremendous debt of gratitude for her tireless commitment to the firm during the past decade," said outgoing firm chair Keith Wetmore.
