Eversheds has taken the lead role for HSBC on a major facilities outsourcing agreement with real estate services giant Jones Lang LaSalle.

The five-year agreement has seen Jones Lang become HSBC's sole outsourcing provider of facilities management services across its 58 million sq ft real estate portfolio.

The deal involved lawyers from a number of Eversheds' international offices in multiple jurisdictions, with the firm's team led out of the UK by London-based commercial partner Alison Brearey, who worked alongside Leeds commercial partner Peter McCormack and London-based employment partner Fiona Bolton.

Brearey commented: "This in an innovative deal spanning multiple jurisdictions and utilising a number of our offices. It has been a pleasure to work closely with HSBC's group legal and corporate real estate teams, in closing what has been one of the world's largest facilities management outsourcing contracts."

Jones Lang LaSalle was advised by its in-house lawyers.

The role for Eversheds comes amid a number of recent panel wins for the firm, including appointments to Siemens, SEGRO and the Legal Services Board's adviser rosters.
