Troubled Yorkshire financial services group Cattles has accused its former auditor of negligent audits in 2006 and 2007, resulting in liabilities of £1.6bn.
The claim, one of the largest negligence lawsuits filed against a professional services firm in the UK, was filed by Cattles supervisor Zolfo Cooper and the outward claims manager of Cattles' subsidiary Welcome Financial Services, Rollings Oliver, on behalf of creditors at the High Court this week.
