Clifford Chance (CC) has teamed up with Thomson Reuters to launch an e-learning programme focusing on competition, antitrust, anti-corruption and anti-bribery.

The joint initiative has seen the magic circle firm and the information provider work together to draw up online courses for financial services firms and corporates, which can be monitored on a real-time basis by HR and compliance staff.

The online offering aims to help businesses cuts costs and time associated with training, as well as reduce the risk of unexpected expenses when regulators find gaps in compliance strategies.

CC has developed "plain-speaking" content and case studies, with each interactive course available in several languages.

Thomson Reuters managing director of governance risk and compliance Mark Schlageter said: "Organisations better understand the need to equip compliance teams with the most up-to-date and relevant information to support corporate governance processes. The partnership with CC supports our ongoing commitment to meet clients' demanding regulatory and best practice requirements."

CC head of London antitrust Alex Nourry added: "Combining our understanding of competition and anti-corruption with the leadership that Thomson Reuters brings to technology solutions has resulted in a vital source of learning."

The service operates on Thomson Reuters' Accelus suite, an e-learning platform that provides services in 19 languages to over 500 clients and 600,000 users on topics including induction and awareness, financial crime, business conduct and governance and risk management.
