Squire Sanders has promoted four UK-based lawyers to its partnership this year, comprising half of the firm's total partner promotions round.
In London, pensions specialist Carol Dick, employment senior associate Supinder Sian and intellectual property lawyer Florian Traub are all due to join Squires' partnership on 1 May.
The trio will be joined by Leeds corporate and finance lawyer Paul Mann, in what marks the third round of partner promotions since US firm Squire Sanders & Dempsey merged with legacy UK practice Hammonds.
The total of four UK partner promotions is one up on last year; however, the overall figure of eight is significantly down on previous promotion rounds, when 18 and 17 lawyers were made up in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
The four US promotions are litigation specialists Aaron Brogdon (Columbus), Eric Cassidy (Houston) and Anne Goodwin (Los Angeles) along with environment lawyer Allen Kacenjar (Cleveland).
Following the promotions, the firm will have a global total of 481 partners, including 141 in the UK.
The firm has also promoted five US lawyers to the position of principal with all nine US promotions effective from 1 January this year.
Squire Sanders chair and global CEO James Maiwurm (pictured) commented: "I would like to congratulate our new partners and principals on achieving this well-deserved career milestone. They each bring a depth of knowledge and expertise to their practice areas and will continue our tradition of providing the highest quality of service to our clients."
The 1:1 ratio of UK to US partner promotions comes after the firm last year rebranded, dropping UK legacy name Hammonds from its previous UK identity of Squire Sanders Hammonds.
The news comes after Berwin Leighton Paisner last week announced nine partner promotions, including seven in London, while Hogan Lovells also recently announced five London promotions in a global partnership round of 24.
