Trowers & Hamlins has announced its 2013 partner promotions, making up seven new partners across its London, Dubai and Manchester offices.

The new partners, which include four female lawyers, are spread across the firm's banking, employment, housing projects, disputes and construction projects practices.

Of the new partners, five are based in the City. Paul Bartter and Peter Kitson have been promoted in the projects and construction group, with Imogen Fisher made up in the banking and finance group, Nicola Ihnatowicz in employment and Steve Nichol in litigation.

The partner promotions are rounded off by housing projects specialist Kate Bouchier in Manchester and construction lawyer Cheryl Cairns in Dubai.

Trowers senior partner Jennie Gubbins (pictured) said: "They have all successfully demonstrated technical excellence and sound commercial skills whilst also delivering the highest standards of client care. This latest round of promotions will help us to strengthen and grow our strategically important areas both in the UK and internationally."

The total number of promotions is down on last year's 11-strong round, which saw seven London partner promotions and four in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.

The news comes after Wragges, Field Fisher Waterhouse and Shoosmiths announced their annual partner promotions last week, with both regional firms confirming marginally smaller rounds compared with last year. Field Fisher, meanwhile, confirmed a six-strong round – marking the third consecutive year in which the firm has promoted at least six lawyers to partnership level.
