Irish firm Mason Hayes & Curran has seen revenues increase by 5% to €44m (£37.7m) for the 2012 financial year.

The figure marks a tenth consecutive year of turnover growth for the firm, which added that it has doubled revenues and headcount figures over the past decade.

Managing partner Emer Gilvarry (pictured) said: "Although conditions remain challenging we are experiencing positive growth in sectors such as technology, food, energy and financial services.

"These remain challenging times for law firms with clients understandably seeking more for less. The legal sector is intensely competitive which means we have to give good value to clients and control our own costs.

"We are investing in our business, increasing our solicitor numbers and spending on infrastructure such as our IT systems to ensure that we can continue to compete for business both in Ireland and abroad."

Last year the firm, which has 304 staff including 65 partners. finished projects including representing the Commission for Communications Regulation on the auction of 4G to four mobile phone companies.

Other mandates included acting on the sale of enterprise data management provider PolarLake to Bloomberg, advising energy giant SSE in its acquisition of Spanish utilities company Endesa's issued share capital and advising shareholders of software company Vordel on selling issued capital to Axway Software.

The firm counts e-commerce websites Etsy and Paypal, social media giant Facebook and pharmaceuticals company Mylan among its clients.
