Nabarro has made up eight lawyers in its latest partner promotions round, with the firm's City arm seeing the bulk of promotions.

The promotions are split across the firm's construction, real estate, tax, corporate and disputes practices in London and Sheffield.

Over half of the firm's new partners are based in London, where real estate lawyer Chris Oakley, construction lawyer Alistair McGrigor, tax lawyer Kirsten Prichard Jones, disputes lawyer Andrew Taplin and real estate disputes lawyer Nick Wood will join the partnership on 1 May.

The remainder of firm's new partner additions come in it's Sheffield office, which saw construction lawyer Fraser Askham, real estate lawyer Tanya Holt and corporate lawyer Gareth Saynor promoted. No lawyers were promoted in Nabarro's international offices.

By practice area, real estate and construction gained two new partners apiece, while tax, disputes, corporate and real estate disputes made up one partner each.

Senior partner Graham Stedman said: "The promotion of eight to the partnership across our offices in London and Sheffield demonstrates our commitment to investing in the future of Nabarro by developing talent and promoting from within.

"I would like to congratulate each of our new partners and thank them for the important contribution I know they will make in key strategic areas for the firm."

The results are significantly up on last year's round, when the firm made up only one associate, employment lawyer Tracey Marsden, to partner level.
