Addleshaw Goddard real estate partner Paula Dillon is to join the newly created Bond Dickinson once the merger between Bond Pearce and Dickinson Dees goes live on 1 May.

Dillon will join the newly-merged firm's Leeds office next month, having been hired by Dickinson Dees. Top rated by Chambers, she is a well-known figure in the Yorkshire real estate market and spent 14 years as partner at Addleshaws after joining in 1999 from Garretts.

Dillon's clients include funders, developers, landowners, retailers, portfolio owners and investors.

Dillon said: "I am excited by the opportunity to use my market knowledge and contacts to play a major part in the development of a high quality full service offering in Yorkshire and to further develop the excellent platform that Dickinson Dees has already established.

"The announcement of the merger with Bond Pearce was an added bonus, bringing yet more quality resource, and a strong reputation in the real estate sector to bear."

The merger is expected to propel the combined firm into the UK top 40 and it will boast more than 1,200 staff spread across eight UK offices in Aberdeen, Bristol, Leeds, London, Newcastle, Plymouth, Southampton and Tees Valley.

Bond Pearce recently added two partners to its ranks ahead of the tie-up, taking on planning partner Kevin Gibbs and insurance partner Jane Williams from DAC Beachcroft and Kennedys respectively.
