Allen & Overy (A&O) has made up 24 lawyers to counsel, including one promotion in London.
This year's promotions, which take effect on 1 May, are spread across 13 of the magic circle firm's international offices, with Hong Kong receiving the highest number with six, followed by three in Luxembourg.
The remaining promotions are shared between the firm's bases in Casablanca, Dubai, London, Madrid, Moscow, Prague, Riyadh, Rome, Singapore, Sydney and Warsaw. The London promotion is Diane Richardson, a senior associate in the City banking team.
The new counsel are drawn from a range of practices including corporate, banking, litigation, international capital markets, tax and arbitration practices.
Managing partner Wim Dejonghe said: "The promotions cover a broad range of practice groups with the majority coming from outside London, reflecting the continuing growth of our global network.
This year's promotions come after the magic circle firm made up 33 lawyers to counsel level last year, with five in London. As was the case this year, the round also included one professional support lawyer.
Earlier this month A&O confirmed a 19-strong partner promotions round for 2013, including six in the City, marking a slight decrease on last year when the firm made up 23 lawyers.
