Deborah Prince worked in private practice, at Tesco and Which? before heading the legal team at the British Heart Foundation. She talks to Grant Murgatroyd about her colourful career and why she isn't shy when it comes to asking lawyers to work for free
Deborah Prince is on a recruitment drive. She is looking for lawyers with wide-ranging experience of company and employment law; everything from employment to intellectual property, data protection to online commerce. The only problem is she doesn't want to pay them money. In return, she's offering them the chance to save lives.
Prince is head of legal at the British Heart Foundation (BHF), one of the UK's largest charities. "I've never worked so hard in my life. I'm sole counsel and it's a charity," she says.
