Slaughter and May and Cravath Swaine & Moore are among several firms to have advised on Lagardere's sale of a €2.3bn (£2bn) stake in aerospace and defence giant EADS.

The French media group, which has sold its remaining 7.4% share in the company to investors, was advised by Slaughters, Cravath and French outfit Bredin Prat.

Slaughters head of equity capital markets Nilufer von Bismarck led for the firm, while Cravath's team, which was led by City corporate partner George Stephanakis, advised on US law.

Bredin Prat's team, which provided French law advice, was headed by capital markets partner Olivier Saba and M&A partner Emmanuel Masset.

White & Case's London, US and Paris offices teamed up to represent joint co-ordinators and bookrunners Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Societe Generale, as well as joint bookrunner Credit Agricole. 

Paris capital markets partners Philippe Herbelin and Thomas Le Vert led the US firm's team, with London corporate partner Greg Stonefield and capital markets partner Stuart Willey advising on English law aspects. 

Capital markets partner Colin Chang, who splits his time between Paris and London, led the team providing advice on US law. 

France's Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier advised EADS with a team led by corporate partner Bertrand Cardi, while Benelux firm NautaDutilh provided local law advice with a team headed up by corporate partner Hein Hooghoudt. 

EADS' in-house team, which included chief legal counsel Peter Kleinschmidt, also advised on the deal.
