Taylor Wessing has promoted 16 associates to its partnership in the firm's latest promotions round, including 10 in Germany and one in London.
Private client specialist Kirstie McGuigan is the sole new partner in the firm's City base, while four London associates have been made up to senior counsel – Marcus Earnshaw, Sian Skelton, Louise Tobutt and Lee Bagshaw, who is currently on secondment in Singapore.
The remaining new partners are split across the firm's offices in Germany, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia offices, with the ten German promotions comprising four in Munich, two each in Berlin and Duesseldorf and one each in Frankfurt and Hamburg.
By practice area, corporate has received the highest number of promotions with four, followed by real estate and trademarks and designs with two respectively.
The rest of the promotions are spread across the EU competition, banking, patents, private client, China and environmental planning groups.
The promotions, which come into effect on 1 May, take the firm's global partner count to 370.
UK managing partner Tim Eyles (pictured) said: "Each of these lawyers is hugely skilled and has been promoted on their own merits, having demonstrated sharp commercial instinct, sound industry knowledge and a collaborative mind-set that will allow them to play a key role in Taylor Wessing's international growth."
The latest round is significantly up on last year's promotions, when the firm made up six new partners in its UK and German arms, including one in the City, although its Paris arm made a separate announcement.
