Eversheds, CMS and Watson Farley & Williams have all announced their annual partner promotions, with this year's round at Eversheds marking an increase of almost 30% on the firm's 2012 round.
Eversheds has made up a total of 28 lawyers around the world this year, including 10 in the UK, a significant increase on last year's 22-strong round.
The 10 domestic promotions this year include London trio Rachel Broquard (corporate), Emma Gordon (dispute resolution) and Andrew Terry (IP).
The other UK promotions are Nottingham duo Jon Cox-Brown (corporate) and Steve Dunseath (dispute resolution), Cambridge pair Richard New (litigation) and Elizabeth Graves (employment), Leeds lawyer Frances Woodhead (local government), Sarah Garner (dispute resolution) in Birmingham and Mary Anne Roff (construction) in Newcastle.
Last year the firm promoted eleven UK lawyers, including three in London.
Internationally, Eversheds has promoted three lawyers apiece in Ireland, Germany and Poland, while the firm's Estonia, Italy and Romania offices have received two new partners. The remaining three promotions are in Hungary, Latvia and the Netherlands.
In total, female lawyers make up 32% of the firm's new partners.
Eversheds chief executive Bryan Hughes said: "These promotions underpin the firm's vision to be the global law firm that sets the standards, as we strive to nurture our talent and retain our focus on working together as one global team to support the delivery of advice of the highest quality, wherever we do business."
Meanwhile, CMS has promoted 29 lawyers to its partnership around the world, including nine in CMS Cameron McKenna's London base.
The UK firm has made up banking lawyer Emma Riddle, corporate specialists Danielle Heath, Dipesh Santilale and Martin Treagus, commercial regulatory and disputes lawyers Shuna Mason and Anna Crew, and energy projects specialists Andy Shaw, Adrian Bell and Philip Duffield.
CMS has also made up six new partners in Germany, three in Poland, three in France and two in Switzerland. The remaining promotions are spread across the CMS network's operations in Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Hungary, Ukraine and Belgium.
Broken down by practice area, the firm's corporate group has received the largest number of new promotions with six, followed by banking, energy projects and commercial regulatory, with four each.
The promotions bring total partner count across the CMS network to 768. Last year the network made up eight UK partners in a global round of 34.
CMS Cameron McKenna managing partner Duncan Weston said: "Our new partners will strengthen the scope and scale of our work. They span key regions and sectors including energy, life sciences and financial services."
Elsewhere, Watson Farley has made up four lawyers including two in London, marking a significantly reduced round on last year's total of nine.
The London duo – Jahnavi Ramachandran and Kavita Shah – are both in the firm's asset finance practice, taking the firm's City partner count to 54.
The other two promotions are in Germany, where Munich corporate pair Ahmad Khonsari and Daniel Marhewka have been made up.
The appointments, which come into effect from 1 May, will bring the number of partners across all 14 of the firm's international offices up to 126. The Germany promotions come after the firm earlier this year launched a new office in Frankfurt, its third base in Germany alongside Hamburg and Munich.
News of the promotions come after Clifford Chance and Linklaters yesterday (29 April) announced they were to make up 20 and 24 lawyers respectively.
