DAC Beachcroft has promoted five lawyers into its partnership as part of the firm's latest promotion round, mirroring the number promoted in 2012.
The quintet of new partners include a UK trio comprising London-based James Deacon (litigation) and Manchester's Craig Godding and Birmingham's Daniel Abbey (both claim solutions).
In addition, the firm promoted Madrid pair Alejandra Galdos (professional indemnity) and Jose-Maria Alvarez-Cienfuegos (energy).
DAC's managing partner Paul Murray said: "Our claims business is a key part of DAC Beachcroft, representing around one third of the firm's people and approximately £64 million in revenue and is essential to achieving our strategic goals for domestic and international growth.
"Not only is the Madrid office the leader in its field but with the increasing coverage that we have across Latin America, the overall team is getting stronger and stronger."
Meanwhile national duo Weightmans and Gateley have both announced expanded promotion rounds this year. Weightmans has promoted four lawyers to partnership status with the new partners split across its Manchester and Liverpool offices.
In Manchester, Suzanne Milne (local government) and Mark Dunn (transport) have become partner along with Liverpool duo Jonathan Hodgkinson (insurance) and Matthew Williamson (real estate). Last year the firm made up three new partners.
The news comes as the firm rejigs its service lines by adding a fourth department to its three existing key business areas. Solving disputes, which joins public sector, commercial and insurance, has been set up to address the changes in civil litigation following the Jackson Report and will be headed by disputes partner Rob Williams.
Gateley has also completed its promotions round in England, making up two partners in the shape of corporate banking pair Jake Robinson (London) and Anna Mayfield (Nottingham). The two promotions is double that of last year when just one lawyer made partner.
