Linklaters has appointed four new members to its international board, including capital markets Paul Lewis, in a reshuffle of the firm's senior governance body.

Lewis replaces financial regulation chief Michael Kent as the joint representative for the London finance and projects group.

Lewis has been a partner at the magic circle firm since 2006, and will sit alongside fellow board member and leveraged finance co-head Nick Syson.

The three other board changes all came in Europe, with Dusseldorf corporate partner Klaus Hoenig replacing Eva Reudelhuber, who had served two three-year terms and was not eligible for re-election. The same rule blocked Michael Kent from standing again.

In the Benelux region, co-head of global M&A Jean-Pierre Blumberg takes over from Francoise Lefevre, who was co-opted into the role in October last year after Peter Riemer became regional managing partner. Riemer took over from Blumberg, who had reached the end of his term.

Meanwhile, Moscow senior partner Dmitry Dobatkin has been formally appointed as international board member for the Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) and Sweden region, having been co-opted into the role in June last year when former Moscow managing partner John GoodwinJohn Goodwin retired from the firm.

The appointments went live on 1 May. Linklaters' international board meets six to eight times per year and is headed by senior partner Robert Elliott and managing partner Simon Davies.
