Legal Week has teamed up with Brook Intelligence Centre to launch a quarterly sector report service covering the insurance market.

The Insurance Industry Tracker is designed to help law firms keep abreast of key developments and trends within the UK insurance sector so they can spot opportunities and track the fortunes of their clients and potential clients.

Published quarterly, the report tracks more than 50 insurers, reinsurers and brokers and includes the latest financial results, strategy updates, M&A, product launches and key appointments.

The insurance tracker is the latest addition to legalweekreports.com, which was launched in October 2012 and houses nearly 150 company profiles.

Recent additions to the site include profiles of Bank of America, John Lewis Partnership and Caterpillar.

Milan Dalal, director of Brook Intelligence, which produces the reports, said the tracker was designed to complement the individual report service by providing a broader analysis of trends within the insurance sector.

He added: "A sector-led approach is how most firms are going to market. The insurance tracker is a one-stop report to help practitioners in the field keep on top of the latest developments at 50 of the largest players in the market."

Legal Week publisher John Malpas added: "Launching the insurance tracker is the logical next step following the successful launch of legalweekreports.com."

A quarterly tracker report costs £1,500 and annual subscriptions to four quarterly reports are currently available for £4,000. The Q2 tracker will be available next week.
