Osborne Clarke (OC) has appointed Ian Wilkinson and Colin Kearney as new joint-heads of its real estate practice to replace the Kathryn Reid.

Bristol-based Wilkinson's and City-based Kearney's new role is effective from yesterday (15 July) with the position becoming available following Reid's decision to stand aside after three-years in the post.

London-based Reid will remain a partner in the real estate practice.

The firm's real estate practice forms part of its broader projects, real estate and finance sector which is headed up by Omar Al-Nuaimi.

Al-Nuaimi commented: "Firstly, I would like to thank Kathryn for her successful leadership of the real estate team over the last three years. Kathryn has handed over a real estate team is in an extremely strong position.

"Ian and Colin are highly experienced and will work together with a partner led approach to ensure the real estate team continue to provide a high standard of service to OC's clients."

The firm recently announced a 14% hike in revenues to £112m for 2012-13 following a year of investment in which it opened a new office in Hamburg in October and in July created an international network across Italy and Spain.

However, like-for-like comparisons show revenues at the firm fell slightly from £98m to £97m, while provisional figures reflect a fall in profit of 5% to £35m from £37m.

In June the firm revealed it had placed around 13 fee-earner roles at risk of redundancy as part of plans to reduce a surplus of senior lawyers within the firm.
