Brodies' Edinburgh office has re-hired Norton Rose Fulbright regulatory and competition partner Rod Lambert.

Lambert, who trained at the Scottish firm before moving to London, joins Brodies' public law and regulatory team, where he will advise clients on antitrust litigation matters including cartel defence, antitrust compliance and merger control.

Prior to the firm's merger with Norton Rose earlier this year, Lambert had been co-head of legacy Fulbright & Jaworski's global antitrust and competition group,

He will move to the Scottish capital from London, where he previously split his time between Fulbright's Houston and Washington DC offices.

His achievements include defending the first three dawn raids under the UK Competition Act and securing the first pre-investigation grant of leniency under the Office of Fair Trading whistle-blowing regime.

"We are delighted to welcome Rod back to Brodies," said managing partner Bill Drummond. "He is a regulatory lawyer of the highest standing who has many years' experience of investigations, advising UK and US clients active in a wide variety of sectors."

"Rod will be a valuable addition to our public law & regulatory team and will be an asset for our many clients who operate in highly regulated markets such as energy, including oil & gas, pharmaceuticals and medical devices."
