Macfarlanes builds real estate practice with Ashurst hire
Macfarlanes has added to its commercial real estate practice with the hire of Ashurst partner Anthony Burnett-Scott. The announcement follows the recent additions to the practice of partners Clare Breeze, who joined from Shearman and Sterling in July and Ann Minogue, also from Ashurst, in August.

Macfarlanes has added to its commercial real estate practice with the hire of Ashurst partner Anthony Burnett-Scott.
The announcement follows the recent additions to the practice of partners Clare Breeze, who joined from Shearman and Sterling in July and Ann Minogue, also from Ashurst, in August.
Burnett-Scott, whose start date is yet to be confirmed, has been a partner at Ashurst since 1999 and has experience across a wide range of commercial property work, with particular focus on property development, acquisitions and disposals and real estate partnerships.
Minogue joined after four years at Ashurst, where she headed up the firm's City construction practice. Prior to this she spent eight years as partner at Linklaters.
Ian Nisse (pictured), head of commercial real estate at Macfarlanes, said: "Anthony is a highly experienced real estate partner with an excellent reputation and has advised on some of the most complex, high value real estate transactions in the UK."
Charles Martin, Macfarlanes' senior partner added: "Anthony represents an important step in the rebuilding of our commercial property team. The tremendous platform that Ian has built with our full support combines lateral and home-grown talent of the highest calibre. Nisse joined Macfarlanes in 2011 from Shearman and Sterling, succeeding Simon Hillson as practice head. The new additions take the total number of partners in the practice to nine.
