Bracewell & Giuliani has continued its UK hiring spree with the capture of Clifford Chance (CC) energy construction partner Tracy London.

The hire of London takes the number of new partners to join the US firm's London office this year to eight.

London, who joined CC as partner from Herbert Smith Freehills legacy firm Herbert Smith in 2008, has experience of working on a range of energy and natural resources projects including renewable energy, nuclear, major process plants, and oil and gas projects. Her practice has a particular focus on Africa.

Bracewell managing partner Mark Evans said: "Tracy's experience is a fantastic addition and the perfect fit to the London team. She has a strong international reputation and her skill set will be a great asset to our clients."

Julian Nicol, the firm's London chief and another 2013 lateral hire, added: "Tracy is a leading energy construction lawyer in the City, and her arrival gives us market-leading energy construction expertise."

Bracewell last raided the magic circle for talent in June when A&O senior associate Darren Spalding and Linklaters associate Ben James joined as partners, along with Morgan Lewis & Bockius partner Martin Stewart-Smith.
