Bingham makes up 10 lawyers, one in Hong Kong
Bingham McCutchen has made up 10 lawyers as part of its annual promotions round, including one lawyer in Hong Kong. Asia corporate specialist Charles Rogers, who advises mainly on public and private cross-border deals, debt and equity investment, corporate finance and restructuring transactions, was the only lawyer to be made up outside of the US.

Bingham McCutchen has made up 10 lawyers as part of its annual promotions round, including one lawyer in Hong Kong.
Asia corporate specialist Charles Rogers, who advises mainly on public and private cross-border deals, debt and equity investment, corporate finance and restructuring transactions, was the only lawyer to be made up outside of the US.
The promotions are effective 1 January 2014, and span a range of practices including finance, regulatory, real estate, anti-trust, appellate and investment management.
They include attorneys from six out of Bingham's 15 offices, namely Boston, Hartford, Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco and Washington.
Bingham currently has five international offices, three of which are in Asia and located in Beijing, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
Speaking about the appointments, chairman and CEO Jay Zimmerman said:"Our clients are involved in complex, cross-border matters, and we continue to build upon our platform.
"The addition of these highly qualified lawyers to the partnership further strengthens the firm's deep bench of talent."
The other newly elected partners include Boston-based real estate lawyers Teresa Cella and Patrick Strawbridge, another real estate lawyer Scott Miller, based in the Hartford office, and anti-trust and trade regulation lawyer Sujal Shah in San Francisco.
It also includes two Washington lawyers – Bryan Killian in the appellate group and Laura Flores in the investment management group, in addition to New York based attorneys Akshay Belani, a financial institutions regulatory and litigation expert, Harlyn Bohensky, a structured transactions specialist, and Aaron Borden, a transactional finance lawyer.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
