Dentons has appointed real estate partner Evan Lazar as chair of its European board while former CEE head Tomasz Dabrowski (pictured) has been appointed as European CEO.

Lazar, who already held a place on the board, succeeds Francois Chateau, having been unanimously elected.

As European CEO Dabrowski meanwhile replaces Dariusz Oleszczuk, who retains a position on the European board.

The rest of the board comprises Europe corporate co-head John Flanigan, Germany managing partner and Europe restructuring head Andreas Ziegenhagen and Kyiv managing partner Oleg Batyuk.

Dentons' European board, which sets the firm's strategy for the region, is entirely composed of legacy Salans partners.

Earlier this week financial results filed at Companies House showed that revenues at Dentons' UK, Middle East and Asia arm – formerly SNR Denton UK LLP – dropped for the fourth year in a row to £142.8m, a year-on-year decrease of 1.5%.

Profit for the 2012-13 financial year meanwhile dropped 10% to £28.3m. The firm blamed the profit dip to increased marketing and administration costs borne by its three-way combination with Salans and Fraser Milner Casgrain.

The firm had previously declined to breakdown its geographical performance following its three-way merger last March. In June it reported combined figures of £829.7m, placing it among the top 20 global law firms by total earnings.
