Ashurst has finalised its global management team with the election of disputes partner Angela Pearson to the board.

Pearson's three-year term began on 31 January with the appointment bringing the total number of board members to 14. She replaces Simon Beddow who stepped down from the board last December after taking up the role of co-head of the firm's global corporate, commercial and competition practice.

Pearson joined Ashurst in 1993 and became a partner in 2006. She is a disputes resolution partner in the London office and has previously served on Ashurst's remuneration committee.

Pearson joins chairman Ben Tidswell, vice chairman Mary Padbury, managing partner James Collis, CFO Brian Dunlop, partners Peter Armitage, Cristina Calvo, Roger Davies, Reinhard Eyring, Robert Ogilvy Watson, Mark Vickers, Ian Williams and independent board members Robert Gillespie and David Turner.

Tidswell commented: "I am confident that Angela will make a significant contribution to the board and play a key role in guiding the firm towards achieving its strategic objectives."

Ashurst completed the revamp of its global governance structure in November following the full financial integration of Ashurst and legacy Blake Dawson.
