Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised two Chinese luxury brands on their expansion into France.

The firm acted independently for eco-friendly fashion brand ICICLE and jewellery designer TTF, assisting both companies with premises, intellectual property issues and French employment law.

Leading for ICICLE was Shanghai M&A partner Fan Jiannian, alongside corporate partner David Boitout and IP and technology lawyer Arnaud Michel in Paris.

Founded in 1997, the Shanghai-based company is understood to be the country's first eco-friendly clothing manufacturer.

Gide advised the brand on the establishment of two subsidiaries and the acquisition of premises in addition to the above.

Jiannian and Boitout also led for TTF, a luxury jewellery company founded in 2002.

They assisted the company in setting up a flagship store on the Place Vend
