Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson has made up two lawyers in London and one in Hong Kong out of five partner promotions globally.
Effective March 1, the promotions round also includes nine special counsel appointments, with lawyers located across Washington DC, New York and Frankfurt making the cut.
The London office will now have 16 partners in total, whilst Hong Kong will have four.
London promotions include Tobias Caspary, a member of the antitrust and competition team, and Jons Lehmann, who works in the corporate practice.
Caspary focuses on European, UK, and German competition law as well as trade regulatory matters, whilst Lehmann specialises in leveraged acquisition finance, structured finance, investment grade finance and syndicated lending.
In Hong Kong, litigation lawyer Alfred Wu has been made up. He handles a range of general commercial litigation and arbitration matters encompassing corporate finance, M&A, funds, joint ventures, insolvency, restructuring, property, employment and shareholder disputes.
He joins a team of three corporate partners in the city, namely Doug Freeman, Victor Chen and Carolyn Sng.
His promotion comes just a year after the firm shrunk in Hong Kong, with the departure of capital markets partner Victoria Lloyd, who joined Ropes & Gray, and corporate partner Joshua Wechsler, who relocated from Hong Kong to New York.
The firm also took on new, smaller, office space, relocating from approximately 12,000 sq ft on the 9th Floor of Gloucester Tower in the Landmark to a base of around 6,000 sq ft in Chater House on Connaught Road.
Other promotions include IP litigation lawyer Randy Eisensmith in New York and corporate and private equity specialist Rebecca Zelenka in Washington DC.
In a joint statement, David Greenwald and Valerie Ford Jacob, co-chairs of Fried Frank, said: "We congratulate each of the new partners and special counsel for demonstrating the level of expertise and leadership required to achieve these important career milestones.
"We look forward to leveraging their many talents to benefit Fried Frank's clients around the globe."
Meanwhile, special counsel appointments include:
• Michael Anstett, litigation, Washington DC
• Alexis Kremen, real estate, New York
• Laurinda Martins, corporate, New York
• David McDonald, corporate, New York
• Nina Siewert, tax, Frankfurt
• Thorsten Stuecklin, corporate, Frankfurt
• Jan Sysel, corporate, New York
• Jennifer Wollenberg, litigation, Washington DC
• David Zilberberg, corporate, New York
