Slaughter and May has voted in two new practice heads in its latest leadership reshuffle.

Andy Ryde (pictured) is set to take over as head of corporate from Frances Murphy, while Andrew McClean will replace Paul Stacey in as head of financing.

The appointments come into effect from 1 May this year, with both partners serving three-year terms.

Murphy and Stacey will remain as partners in the corporate and financing practices respectively.

The firm has also re-elected its other existing practice heads for a further three years. The re-appointments are: Philippe Chappatte (competition), Deborah Finkler (disputes), Jan Putnis (financial regulation), Cathy Connolly (intellectual property and IT), Steve Cooke (M&A), Jonathan Fenn (pensions and employment), David Waterfield (real estate) and Sara Luder (tax).

Slaughter and May senior partner Chris Saul said: "It is excellent that Andy Ryde and Andrew McClean are joining the roster of stream heads here at the firm. They are both extremely talented and energetic individuals and will make a great contribution in their new roles."

As part of the firm's last practice leadership rejig in 2011, Stacey took over as head of finance from Andrew Balfour, while Luder replaced Tony Beare as head of tax.
