Stephenson Harwood's supervisory council has reappointed Sharon White as the firm's chief executive for a further three-year term.

White (pictured) is set for an eight-year stint in the role, having first taken on the top job in 2009. Her new three-year term will kick off at on 30 September this year, when her current tenure ends.

In 2009, she replaced commercial litigator Sunil Gadhia, who spent six years managing the firm before stepping down to continue fee-earning. Gadhia left to join Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton's London office in 2012.

White joined the firm in 1988 and was made up as partner in 1997. She leads the firm alongside Roland Foord, who was elected to serve a five-year term as senior partner in 2012. He replaced corporate partner Andrew Sutch, who held the role for ten years.

Audited figures for the 2012-13 financial year show that under White's leadership, the firm's revenue increased by 3.7% from £109.3m to £113.3m.

During the last full financial year, Stephenson Harwood launched in Dubai, while it has also recently opened a representative office in Beijing after its application for a licence to set up an outpost was approved by the Ministry of Justice late last year.
