Berwin Leighton Paisner has lost another partner from its real estate finance group this week, with Jo Solomon the latest to exit.

Solomon is set to join Hogan Lovells, pending partner approval. Her departure leaves just three partners in BLP's real estate finance practice.

BLP has also confirmed the exits of structured finance partner Lucy Oddy and real estate finance partner Andrew Flemming, as first revealed by Legal Week earlier this month. Flemming will join Solomon at Hogan Lovells, while Latham & Watkins has secured the signing of Oddy.

Former real estate finance head Laurence Rogers left in February, when he was one of three partners to defect to DLA Piper.

The practice is now led by Naveen Vijh, with the only Claire Watson and Steve Clark left at partner level. There were around six or seven partners in the practice last year.

Rogers' resignation, along with commercial real estate partner Richard Hopkinson-Woolley and corporate tax partner Neville Wright, came just 24 hours after he was overlooked for the role of finance practice chief in favour of Adam Dann.

The slew of departures from the firm followed an independent review of BLP's finance practice, launched in November and led by former Clifford Chance managing partner Tony Williams, now of Jomati. The review was sparked by the sudden departure of previous finance head Matthew Kellett.
