Trowers & Hamlins has made up four new partners in the firm's smallest promotions round since 2010.

The firm has promoted one lawyer each in its London, Dubai, Oman and Bahrain offices. The appointments will come into effect at the start of April.

Two of the quartet of new partners are female.

By practice, real estate is home to the bulk of the new partners, with three new partners each based in London, Dubai and Bahrain. The remaining lawyer is joining the firm's corporate partnership.

Senior partner Jennie Gubbins (pictured) said: "I want to extend a warm welcome to these accomplished individuals as they join the partnership. They have each made impressive contributions to the firm in their respective practice areas, and have demonstrated exceptional legal skill and top-notch business acumen. To do this whilst also providing superior client care is commendable."

The latest round marks the smallest number of promotions for the firm since 2010. Last year the firm made up seven new partners across its London, Dubai and Manchester offices, while in 2012 it promoted 11 lawyers across London, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.

In 2011, six partners were made up in an all-female promotion round. The previous year, just four lawyers were promoted to partner.

The move to bolster partner numbers in its overseas practices come after a period during which the firms' Middle East offices were hit by a spate of departures. Last January partners Charles Schofield and Roger Byrne left the Oman office to launch Addleshaw Goddard's offering in the jurisdiction.

The firm also closed its Cairo office earlier this year, amid concerns over the country's political situation.
