Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom has made up one lawyer in London and a further two in Hong Kong as part of its 11-strong promotions round.
The US firm has promoted cross border investigations and litigation counsel Ryan Junck in the City, in addition to China corporate expert Will Cai and another investigations lawyer Bradley Klein in the Asian financial hub.
The move brings the number of London partners to 29 and those based in Hong Kong to 14.
Junck and Klein focus on government enforcement and white collar crime, acting for clients in court and advising them in relation to internal investigations, training and compliance, FCPA issues, anti-bribery and anti-corruption.
Meanwhile Cai, who is a Chinese-speaking corporate lawyer, typically represents Chinese issuers and global investment banks in US and Hong Kong capital market transactions, while also advising private equity funds and multinationals on inbound and outbound investment into the country.
The other promotions include attorneys in New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Chicago, and across the firm's tax, M&A, insurance, litigation and SEC enforcement practices.
Last year it made up just eight lawyers, including one counsel in London but none in Asia.
Three of the 2013 successful candidates were female, compared with just one this year.
