Clifford Chance promotes 21 partners, with London and Asia taking bulk
Clifford Chance has made up 21 lawyers to its global partnership, with the firm's London and Asia Pacific offices each taking a third of the new appointments.

Clifford Chance has made up 21 lawyers to its global partnership, with the firm's London and Asia Pacific offices each taking a third of the new appointments.
The magic circle firm's City office has gained seven new partners, while Singapore and Hong Kong each saw two new partners added, and Perth, Bangkok and Beijing each gained one.
The remaining partners are mostly made up in continental Europe, with the firm's Middle East and Americas practices just gaining one each.
A third of the newly-promoted partners are female, including four out of the seven new City partners. The latest promotions mean 21% of the London partnership is made up of women.
The promotions are slightly up on last year's 20-strong haul, when only two females were made up to partnership.
In terms of practice areas, finance took the lion's share with eight new partners, corporate saw four new partners, tax, pensions & employment and capital markets three each and real estate one.
Matthew Layton (pictured), Clifford Chance managing partner elect said: "An international mindset and an ability to grasp the nuances of different markets and sectors are a pre-requisite of a Clifford Chance partner. The promotions take effect from 1 May 2014 and will bring the total number of partners in the firm to 587.
