Nabarro is to hold its first managing partner elections in 15 years, as current chief Andrew Inkester's (pictured) three year term draws to a close.

Partners at the firm will vote using a new system whereby they will be able to nominate candidates, with the poll conducted on a one member one vote basis. It is thought that partners have not yet been sent a timetable on the voting process, however it is understood to be starting some time in the summer.

Corporate partner Inkester succeeded Nicole Paradise, who stepped down as managing partner after 12 years in 2011. Inkester was put forward for the role by then senior partner Simon Johnston.

It will be the first vote to take place since the firm reduced its senior partner term, aligning the role with that of the managing partner. Previously, senior partners were elected for five years and managing partners stayed in the role for three. Under the new system both will now serve four-year terms.

Partners will be able to nominate themselves – a move which came in in 2012 just before Graham Stedman took over the senior partner role from Simon Johnston.
