Addleshaw Goddard head of client delivery Andrew Chamberlain is set to join DWF as its head of employment.

Chamberlain (pictured) headed up Addleshaws' employment practice for ten years from 2003 and has led the firm's client delivery team since 2012.

He was one of Addleshaws' client relationship partners for Barclays and has served terms on both its executive committee and governance board. He joined the firm in 1995 from DLA Piper, where he was promoted to partner in 1993.

The exit comes less than a week after the installation of new managing partner John Joyce, who won a contested election to replace Paul Devitt.

The news also comes just weeks after a trio of real estate partners at Addleshaws, including practice head Mark Haywood, left to launch Nabarro's Manchester office.

During his time at Addleshaws, Chamberlain led on developing and creating its Manchester-based transaction services team (TST), which handles the process elements of legal work.

He has recently overseen the process mapping of the firm' legal activity, the development of its collaboration model and has continued to work on innovative pricing models.

An Addleshaws spokesperson said: "Our approach to client delivery and the role vacated by Andrew, who stepped back in 2012 from his role as a full-time fee earner in our employment practice to help with the development of our delivery model, will be considered by John Joyce, our new managing partner, as we finalise our future strategy.

"The TST in particular will remain a core part of our service delivery model and overall determination to drive greater internal efficiencies which improve our margin, and yet still deliver to clients the quality and value they have come to expect from us."

At DWF, Chamberlain will lead a 60-strong employment team, replacing Mark Hammerton in the role. Hammerton will step down from the role when Chamberlain joins the firm, returning to full-time fee-earning.
