Withers has appointed seven to its partnership, with the majority of appointments going to its US offices.

Andrew Haave and William Kambas have made partner in the firm's tax and wealth planning team in New Haven, whilst the New York practice will be boosted by art law specialist Diana Wierbicki and immigration lawyer Reaz Jafri.

The London office will gain one partner, Charlie Tee, in the tax and wealth planning team, as will the firm's bases in Hong Kong and the British Virgin Islands.

By practice area, tax and wealth planning make up the majority of appointments with four.

The new roles, which take effect from 1 July, bring the total number of partners at the firm to 115.

Withers' managing partner Margaret Robertson said: "I am pleased that the growing demand of our clients – successful people and families around the world – has enabled us to appoint so many new partners across our offices and practice groups."

Earlier this year, Withers took a £1.6m hit after losing a professional negligence claim related to the drafting of an LLP agreement.
